Out of all my babies, Spencer certainly holds the record for biggest puker. If I don't get a really good burp out of him, then I usually end up with a barfing baby. And sometimes he hurls even after a good burp. He can really get some distance and has some force too. Last week, I wrapped him up and left him on my bed. I came back to check on him, expecting him to be asleep, and this is what I found.
A very bright eyed baby with a puddle of baby barf about 6 inches away from him and his pacifier right in the middle of it. Nasty! It took my mattress a few hours to dry out too.

And then this morning, I was nursing him, he suddenly stopped and puked all over me. I didn't even have to time sit him up or anything. It hit me right in the chest and soaked me completely.
And I never know if I should feed him more after he hurls like that or not. Do you think that he's still hungry?

Blech. Sorry about that! Once when Brennan was little, he had been so sick and dirtied all of his crib sheets. Then we brought him to our bed, and eventually dirtied all of ours. We ended up sleeping with the last of our towels under us, and a big load of sheets and towels to wash in the morning... ahh.. the life of a parent!
Oh, I'm so sorry! That is the best pic though..haha. I have no idea whether or not to feed him again. Kenna was a puker, I think I just ended up sticking to her schedule.
Ah man! I remember that with Victoria!! I can't remember what I did about it, though. :S
Oh yes. The puking. Ryan was perfectly puke-free ... then I learned what burp rags are REALLY for w/ my next 2! My advice? Go by his cues. Sometimes they are still hungry w/ a suddenly empty tummy, other times not. I just hate seeing all that 'hard work' go to waste!
By the way, that picture is just adorable! His little eyes peeping over his blanket watching your reaction. haha!
