Hand Gesture

I saw this on a friend's blog and thought that I'd give it a shot. It's kind of funny, because this is the sign that I always pick when playing the sign game! I guess that it suits me nicely!

You Are an "A-OK"

Your life philosophy can be summed up as, "Whatever will be, will be."

Your greatest wish is to live each day a little better than the next.

You are naturally calm and stable. Some people would call you a rock.

You feel one with the world. You are a spiritual person, though no one who knows you would guess it.

I guess that the only thing that I hope is different, is that people know that I am a spiritual person.

Graduations

I just wanted to say congratulations to all of our siblings that graduated this year. We had a total of 3!
First there was Tyler, with a degree in Landscape Architecture from Arizona State University. Then Andrea, with a degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University.Unfortunately, Savannah threw-up at Tyler's graduation, so the girls and I didn't make it up to Flagstaff the next day for Andrea's graduation. I think my family looks considerably smaller without us.And lastly was Becky, with a degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix.Fine work to all of you!

The Wedding

Jon's twin sister, Rachel, got married about 2 weeks ago. We are so happy to have Mark as the newest addition to our family and the girls absolutely love him! Of course, it was quite warm when we came out of the temple, but they looked great!Their reception was that evening and all of the kids got new clothes for the event. Savannah picked her dress and was so excited to wear it, but complained about it being too itchy. So we had to go out and buy a little slip to wear under it. Now she's in love with the slip!Melanie was just too adorable in her little dress! She is a sweetie and is probably Mark's favorite in our family. And Spencer was too cute in his little outfit, with matching pink bow tie! Here's a shot of the bride and groom with all of the little girls in our family. Yes, we have been blessed with lots of cute girls! We are very glad to add Spencer to the mix! Jon and I enjoyed the evening, especially after my mom came and took our kids home with her. They also decided to serve cupcakes, since Cupcake is one of Rachel's nicknames, and she loves them. They were quite yummy; I just wasn't fond of the lemon filled ones.It was all so busy and crazy! But we are so happy for them!
Congrats Rach & Mark!

Blessing Day

We blessed our sweet little Spencer last Fast Sunday. He looked so handsome in his little white outfit. The girls thought that he was really cute too. They love to lay next to him every chance that they get.Daddy even painted the girls' toenails for the big day! We were so happy that almost all of our family was able to come. Thanks to all of you that came, and we missed those of you that didn't. Spencer was happy as a clam during the blessing and all of Sacrament Meeting. My Grandpa said that he looked down at the end of the blessing and Spencer was all smiles! Here's a picture of him with his Grandpa. And I must say that I was one happy mommy!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice 4th of July! We went out to my brother's house for swimming and a BBQ. Since it's a little drive out there, we stopped at Circle K and used our Free Thirstbuster coupons to quench our thirst. Such large cups for such little girls! We had fun swimming! But it didn't last long because a storm came through. It was Spencer's first time! He wasn't quite sure what to think of it. He cried for a second and then he just kind of fell asleep. Isn't he too cute?
The kids tried to play T-ball. It was pretty funny to watch, but they enjoyed it!
I had worked hard to make a cupcake flag for Bryan's birthday cake. I think that it turned out pretty good. And everyone enjoyed the little cupcakes. There were plenty for everyone to have a few.Melanie loved playing with their little kitchen set! She was too cute.
On our way home, we pulled off of the freeway and watched the last 10 minutes of the fireworks that they had at Apache Junction High School. We had the girls climb in the front and sit on our laps in the car. They loved it and we loved that it was so easy. They were so sad when the show was over. But Melanie has talked about them all week (just ask her swim teacher)!

Burp, Barf, or Both

Out of all my babies, Spencer certainly holds the record for biggest puker. If I don't get a really good burp out of him, then I usually end up with a barfing baby. And sometimes he hurls even after a good burp. He can really get some distance and has some force too. Last week, I wrapped him up and left him on my bed. I came back to check on him, expecting him to be asleep, and this is what I found. A very bright eyed baby with a puddle of baby barf about 6 inches away from him and his pacifier right in the middle of it. Nasty! It took my mattress a few hours to dry out too.
And then this morning, I was nursing him, he suddenly stopped and puked all over me. I didn't even have to time sit him up or anything. It hit me right in the chest and soaked me completely.
And I never know if I should feed him more after he hurls like that or not. Do you think that he's still hungry?
