Dressing Up

Melanie got these little Princess Slippers for Christmas. I thought that she looked pretty cute running around the house in just a diaper and her slippers. She absolutely loves the slippers. If she's wearing them at nap time, then she likes to keep them on for her nap.

About a month ago the girls thought it would be funny to get dressed in Mom's maternity shirts instead of their own clothes. Daddy sure thought that it was funny, and they had fun just running around like crazy little monkeys while they were dressed up.

And a few weeks ago, Savannah found this little jumper in the DI box and put it on. I was surprised that she actually got it on, considering it is supposed to be a 12 month outfit! You probably can't tell, but it is definitely not snapped at the bottom.

Feeling Better

It only took about 3 weeks, but I think that everyone around here is healthy again. Melanie and Savannah started running a fever and having a cough on a Friday. I waited all weekend to take them to the doctor and I thought that they were getting better on Monday. But when they still had a fever on Tuesday, I figured that they didn't have a cold. I took them to the doctor and they both had bronchitis! Oh joy! They're treatment: A Nebulizer (or breathing machine). They each had to at least do 2 breathing treatments for 10 minutes daily for 2 weeks. Melanie was at first afraid of the machine, but after a week she got used to it and it was Savannah that I always had to convince (or hold down) to do her treatment. The day after the girls went to the doctor, then Jon went in the next day, Wednesday. He had bronchitis too! His treatment: An antibiotic that made him completely nauseous, which he had to take twice daily. Then the next night, Thursday night, Savannah woke up complaining about her ear. So I took her to Urgent Care at 3 a.m. to find out she had a double ear infection. Her treatment: An antibiotic, which I had flavored by the pharmacy to taste like bubble gum. The flavoring helped, but she still complained when she had to take it every day.
Savannah recovered the fastest, and then Jon. Melanie has been slow coming because she didn't have an antibiotic, but I took her in for her 18 month check-up yesterday and the doctor says that she's doing great! Thank heavens that I never caught what they had and that they are finally all better!

G-Day

Since I have my next doctor's appointment tomorrow, then I thought that I should post the happenings of my last appointment.

The day after Christmas, Jon and I went in for my ultrasound! This is what Jon likes to refer to as G-Day or Gender Day. It was a nice day-after-Christmas treat! Anyways, for those of you that don't know, we are finally having a boy! Good luck trying to read the ultrasound picture. His rear is up at the top with his legs coming down, if that helps. We are very excited about having a boy finally, especially Jon! He is quite proud to have a Jamieson heir. Now, if only we could agree on a name. So if you have any name suggestions for a boy, feel free to share them. Just so you know, it's Jon that's the picky one. So kudos to anyone that can find a name that Jon actually likes. Actually, if someone does come up with a name that he likes, maybe I'll have to bake you cookies or something.
